Their card readers charge more than what the machine says.  I ran a wash cycle that said $18 and my card was charged $21.  Nowhere is it posted that the price is different for using a card and there was no indication on machine or card reader that I was being charged $21.  SKETCHY!!!!!!!

They Charge for hot water.....then turn the hot water heater off to save money.  Put your hand on the washing machine glass after you pay for hot water....ice cold.....13 dollars a load

We used Mrs. O’s for our move-out clean before listing our house. It was easy to schedule and they did a thorough cleaning. Much better price than the other company we looked at. Mandy and Jade are awesome.

We have had the team of Torrie and Jamie for the last several months. All of our experiences with MRS-O cleaning teams have been great, and the our current team is exceptional. On time, cheerful and efficient, and we always remark on how much is accomplished in the time that they are here. The house always looks beautiful after the visit, and little areas that could be easily missed are not forgotten. Hopefully they will continue to be assigned here, though we have been very satisfied with other service teams over the last two years. Good for MRS-O’s for finding such wonderful staff.

Mandy and Jade are the best!!! We’ve used them to regularly clean our house and they truly do amazing work. My 3 year old also loves them and they’re so kind to him while they work. We look forward to every week they come.

We hired Mrs O’s for Dogsitting’s when we had to go out of town for the weekend. Exceptional! Both Mary and Lauren were communicative, followed our dogs’ schedules to the T and also sent us videos of them playing. It was so nice to have peace of mind on the road, and we came home to two happy and relaxed dogs when we got back.

This laundry used to be clean, we'll lit, had modern functional washers and dryers, and was staffed with friendly helpful attendants. Since Lighthouse's purchase of the Sunshine Center Laundry on Pleasant Street it is no longer any of that. The same goes for the Sunshine Center. We have a local business and have relied on both of these laundries for their wash and fold service. The last several times we have tried to drop off laundry during their normal hours of operation there was no attendant so we washed the laundry ourselves. This was made challenging because several of the washer and dryers were out of service. The machines only took coins or a mobile app, no credit or debit cards. This is a college town with lots of rentals, if this business can't provide this community a reliable service they should sell the business to someone that can. The remaining in town option is Mr Suds. They will have all of my future business or I will go out of town to do our laundry.

What a fiasco at least 12 broken washers. Many dryers not working. The App wasn’t updated so I had to add extra money to get the washers started. The time to wash and dry was significantly less on the machines than the app said.  So prices are going up up and the time is going down down and so many washes and dryer are not working. This leaves me, wondering if the machines are working well enough to get laundry even clean. Very frustrating. I would think the fact that you own seven ( I think) laundromats you could have a maintenance person about to at least try to give your customers a better experience.

I  was here three weeks ago and many of the same machines were out of order then. Poor business practice.
Also machine #11 took my money but wouldn’t start. ($6.00). I put in a request for refund online and I can’t even tell if you received it or not.

Also, the fact that the prices to do laundry are going up many people like myself still prefer the smaller loads - seems like now all you want to provide are much larger washers and dryers - not what all families need!!!  Larger machines more $ less options.

So thankful for Molly or I would have left. She had to deal with many many frustrated people in the 2 hours. I was there.  Also, being nice.  A few people were so frustrated they left. Many customers had problems with machines even accepting the quarters - she was running from customer to customer the entire time I was there while trying to do customers laundry.  Shes a keeper!!!

It’s unbelievably frustrating to spend over $50 to do laundry and be frustrated with sub par machinery and options.

Unless things significantly change by next week I will definitely go to a laundry owned by someone else.

Here we go again. Put all my money in the app. I had to go get cash to get Coin so it cost me double today. Then when I get here there’s no note on the machine, but the pay ranges won’t accept or charge me double. Again, please things aren’t working properly. Don’t allow the pay range until it is.

I miss the previous owners when the attendants were there for years, ALWAYS there and friendly and helpful.  It was clean and all machines functioning.  I started using them 5 years ago: for two years I did it myself, and for the last few have been dropping off my laundry for “wash, dry and fold” service.  Since this past spring the help is spotty, many times there is no attendant on duty. Many machines aren’t working, and most of the chairs for patrons to use have disappeared.The prices have gone from the website advertised $1.95 per pound to $3.00 per pound.  I have tried to drop off many times but never find anyone there.
I ran into the owner one time and commented that there was often no one there: she said “it’s hard to get help-no one wants to work”.  Hmmm. Never seemed to be a problem for the previous owners!

I had 2 sleeping bags and pillows   to wash and found Lighthouse Laundry. We wanted the large washer which needs an app. Molly, who was attending was so helpful and helped us get set up quick without the app. She also advised to not use the dryer for the sleeping bags as they could melt. I appreciated her letting us know. No problem. It was a sunny day for air drying! Everyone was friendly and a customer even help me figure out how to shut the door. One quick large load and onward to our next adventure! Thanks Lighthouse, we will be back!

I just thought I would mention if you ever find the toilet door locked just simply make a phone call or knock on the door that is not the toilet door or simply call the number on the wall which might be more protocol or more polite), they will unlock it for you. Thanks Mr. Suds - you're the best.

I had 2 pants with very small holes in the seam repaired and dry cleaned should have been no more than 30 dollars I was charged 60 dollars. I spoke to the manager to ask if I was possibly over charged and she barked no that is our price, I would never recommend this place to anyone!

Let me tell you about this place!  I am in the armed services.  So I had an event that required me to be in my service dress uniform, it had been stowed and unworn for quite some time.  I brought it down to Brunswick plaza dry cleaners.

First off, let's talk about the employees customer service... It's outstanding!!! The staff greet you with a warm welcome, and take specific care to address your cleaning needs.

So the service and organization:  Also spot on!  They were able to provide speedy turnaround on my uniform blazer, dress shirt and trousers in two days!  And they were impeccable.

In summation, the team that runs shop at Brunswick Plaza Dry Cleaners are doing it the right way!  Absolutely recommend them to anyone in need of awesome dry cleaning and laundering services.  Just fantastic!

This place is a total rip off. I was charged twice what it normally costs for a few items. When I asked for an explanation, the woman suddenly couldn't speak english. unbelievable.

Great Find for Vacation Laundry!

Garden Island Laundromat was a great find for vacation laundry—reliable and super convenient. The washer and dryer worked well, and I loved that they accepted both credit cards and coins. The change machine was spot-on, which made things easy.

My smaller washer was $5.50, and the dryers were just 25¢ for 4 minutes—it took $2 per dryer to get them dry, which seems reasonable and efficient.

Bonus: I walked just two doors down to Market Place Cafe and enjoyed a relaxing breakfast while my laundry ran. Couldn’t ask for a smoother setup. Would definitely use again!

Only a few of the washing machines accepted credit cards as payment, I didn't have cash. A $10 over charge was charged to my credit card for a $5 wash. Three to four minutes were credited for each quarter in the dryers. The change machine was out of order. The bathroom was locked and only available during the presence of an attendant. There was no attendant there while I was there. I believe the vending machine for the laundry soap and fabric softener was also out of order. I won't be returning to this laundromat.

This place sucks!! There's never any dryer sheets in the vending machine, the washers are full of mold & the dryers have crap stuck inside of them. I'm just gonna start going to the place in Boothbay.

Place is just over all Nasty spiders all over the walls and machines. And dryers are way to expensive

Extended unnecessarily their "treatment" of our home and took far longer than necessary to do what could and should have been done immediately, even after I asked, without answer, why this was going the way it was. Of course this ended up with an enormous invoice for a three week process that should have been a week or less. Never really addressed these assertions; simply used the insurance company as a shield. Simply took advantage of my bad situation and milked more time out of this than they should have.

Just days before Christmas and we discovered water in our finished basement.  One call to ServPro in Topsham and my anxiety started to fade.  They were at our house within the hour.  Kind and compassionate to our situation.  The water sucked up, dryers and dehumidifiers in all the right places.  And removal of wet drywall and flooring.  What could have been a situation that would send me running for the hills, but they took care of it all and Christmas with family can resume without a hitch.  THANK YOU!

I am not normally one to write a review, but as this is one of the worst experiences I have had with a contractor I feel it's important that others know as well. I had an emergency service need on fourth of July  for an overflowed sink and although the initial response for the water damage removal and installation of fans was good and the work done professionally, the follow up to do the actual mitigation and check of the work by the local manager was awful. After he called out "sick" the day after fourth of July I was forced to sign a liability waiver to not get charged an extra 4 days of drying equipment rental due to the local manager not being available to do the inspections. I did this no problem as my friend was luckily a home inspector with his own equipment so we were able to do our own inspections. However when I tried to reach back out to schedule the actual follow up the inbox of the manager was full for 2 months and I ended up going with another company because I couldn't get a hold of him. 8 months later and they come back to charge me full price for all services and inspections even though I had to go pay another company as well for the same services. When asked why it took them so long to send the bill they said they had no way to contact me even though they had my email and phone this whole time. I would definitely not recommend Servpro as the local management do not treat their customers with any sort of care or respect.

City waste water backed up into our house and broke a waste pipe, filling our basement with 3 inches of grey water. Servpro showed up early the next day with 3 crewmembers to remove the water and items that were destroyed by the water. They were courteous and responsive to my input on what could stay and what had to go. They arranged a second day to clean and sanitize the entire basement floor of a large home.

I would highly recommend Servpro of Belfast/Camden.

My flooring was removed after water damage by Pete(?)&Cole. They were very efficient and did a great job.

First machine I tried was out of order, but not marked as such, and wouldn't return my quarters. 1/3 of the machines are marked out of order besides. Vending machines are broken and were sticky-noted with explanations instead of fixed. Badly run to an abusive degree, probably only survives because it fills a bottom-feeder niche with low operation and staffing costs.

Also, the soda I got from the vending machine was expired.

There's always something to do if you're the person working there. You may have to call a number of times but don't give up. The place is huge and they have one very huge machine. They offer dry cleaning services that are not on location. My advice would be to call and get a quote. They always have two coin machines and there are a few machines that take credit cards but no dryers take credit cards, nor debit cards. Very polite prompt and quick service for wash and fold. Thank you light house laundry for having a public bathroom. 🚻

I use this place for their wash and fold service but have not done laundry here in over a year. How times have changed!!! Not that long ago this WAS a clean and well lit 24 hour laundry. NOT any more!!! Recently this place was purchased by the company that owns the Lighthouse Laundry at Cooks Corner. It still has the Sunshine Center sinage. It is now dirty and cluttered inside and out. The  overgrown flowerbeds should have been a clue to what we could expect inside. A mop and a broom could dramatically improve the interior. At my last visit 11 of the the 32 washing machines and 7 of the 32 dryers were out of service. The exhaust fan is a fire hazard. Although the sinage says there should be, there was no attendant present between 10:30 and noon on a Sunday morning. I saw several people come to drop off wask and fold but left because there was no attendant to take it. I hope the owners take notice and turn this place around or another laundromat opens in the area that offers a wash and fold service.

This entire summer we have had problems dropping off or picking up our wash and fold laundry with the attendant not being at the store (outside of the 1-2 PM lunch break). We have to travel a fair distance to the store and to find we cannot pick up or drop off our laundry is a big problem. Prior to this year service has been good, but this summer it has been terrible at the Brunswick location. This is no way to run a business.

Nice facility, clear signage, pricey machines, helpful staff. I haven’t gone to a laundromat in a long time. Be patient with the machines, sometimes they act up when you’re trying to start them. No refunds period, but they were able to move me to a different machine thankfully 🙏

My son needed someone to care for his clothing because he has been working a tremendous amount of hours. He did not want me to touch his dry cleaning/ laundry... I took them to eco cleaners and the gentleman behind the counter,( because I told him I would really like to have them as soon as possible my son truly did not want me to do this), allowed me to pick them up 2 day turn around. And he did not charge me more for the quick turnaround. The price was super reasonable. I have looked at other places that were very expensive, more than what I paid for the men's button up garments I brought in to be dry cleaned. I've got three ladies jackets some garments garments I bought at Walmart that cost me $10 plus tax. They would have charged me $15 to dry clean them there, which is more than I was willing to spend. I was grateful to have an opportunity to ask and get the truth. Thanks eco cleaners for making this journey easy on me.😁

Super disappointing first time customer experience. Dropped off a shirt and it came back with cuff half torn off. It definitely wasn’t that way at drop off. The owner was very ornery about it, insisted it couldn’t have happened there and then handed me the shirt and walked off (leaving me with the cashier). I would even have paid to have them sew it back on, but there was zero chance for conversation. Won’t be back.

Had a bad experience start to finish. I called to see if they could have this suit jacket done by a certain date and they said yes. When I dropped off they said it would be done by noon. I show up at noon and it’s not done and they ask me to come back at 2 which was very inconvenient as we were heading out of town for a wedding. When I pick it up, he says the charge is 13.50 but accidentally charges my card for $1350.00 and laughs about it like it’s no big deal and has to call someone speaking in another language to fix it leaving me not confident at all. I decide to pay cash and we rush out for the wedding.
The day of the wedding my husband goes to put the jacket on to discover it’s ruined. So he had no jacket to wear to the wedding. Extremely disappointing!

Don't use this dry cleaners. They close randomly stranding your clothes in there. If there is any issue AT ALL, the owner and staff refuse to answer any questions as to why, refuse to compensate you, and are overall incorrigible. I will never use them again and will happily take my business to Pratt & Abbott.

Terrible experience.  Lost a $130 sweater.  He just misplaced it and refused a refund!  There are so many places to get your dry cleaning done.  Avoid this place at all costs.

Double Bubble Laundromat (Laundromat Near Me)

No warm or hot water wash.  We used the top loaders and a couple minutes into the wash lifted the lid to put a stray piece of clothing in, the washer was filled with cold water.
FYI When you select the cycle you select the temperature for the wash by pushing a button for hot, warm or cold. The temperature automatically changes when it rinses to cold on these particular washers, there isn't an option to choose the temperature for the rinse.
Not sure if the hot water heater is broken? There is an age-old scam in laundromats where they don't actually have hot water piped to some or all of the machines. Customers never know because the doors on newer machines lock after starting. A telltale sign is your laundry isn't clean out of the washer if you chose hot for the wash.
One of the customers said this happened to them and they reported it to the owner, who responded by saying the buttons for the temperature are for the rinse; this is a blatant, intentional lie and fraud if this is what they responded with.

We were on Vacation and our rental didn’t have a washer and dryer.  Hayleigh to the rescue! She had our laundry done and ready for us in two hours. Thank you for taking such good care of us!

People who run this shop is super nice and if you leave anything behind they take it and hold it for you. My friend left a bag of yarn and they kept it over night in a locked room when they where not there and left a phone number to call if we where looking for it. I just went back when they where open and they gave it back and where super nice. I would recommend this place. They have your best interest in mind

I had a massive amount of laundry needing cleaned and Kandace was an absolute delight. She didn't hesitate to offer th
e big basket for my laundry so I would only need to make one trip. I came back a 2nd day and she was so patient with my son. I will be returning when necessary.

I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into  Topsham Laundry Center with my bulky items.  I was offered help immediately, and Kandace guided me to the right washers for what I had. I felt safe leaving them unattended.  It was the cleanest laundry center I have ever been in, and that includes the machines.  I’m so happy to have found it.

I was a little nervous after reading some of the reviews but we had zero issues. We were able to get coins, laundry smelled fresh when done. Washers and driers were clean. Convenient location to Boothbay Harbor.  Great laundry place. Thank you for being open for us travelers!

I went with the $13/$15 option. It did a good job. It washed my SUV, and I was happy with the results.  Nice facility. I'll be back for a simple wash. It would be nice if the car wash & detailing services were separated from the dry cleaners on Google maps.

If I could give this place a zero rating I would! The place is FILTHY! Floors are dirty and folding tables are dirty. It’s as if nobody has cleaned this place in a long time! Attendants leave at 4 pm but they don’t clean anything before they go. Secondly, it’s expensive! Washers are $5.50 and the dryers are as well because you just keep feeding quarters and it takes forever for anything to dry.

We ended up taking our wet towels back to our campground to dry. Someone was using the washers when we wanted to do laundry so that’s when we decided to go to a laundromat because we didn’t want to spend a lot of time doing laundry. Saved us no time at all since they likely don’t clean their dryer filters.  I wish I had taken photos of this filthy,  expensive place so I could post them.

Our Vacasa home did not have laundry, so we stopped in on our way to the harbor to drop off. The staff was very nice and accommodating. We received a text within a couple hours that our laundry was done. They were even mindful of finding a few things that had mistakenly made it into our pile of dirty clothes. Would definitely recommend!

The car wash/vacuum part is a joke. I try my best to support local businesses and be patient when things aren't working just right but it's been a year and it's been nothing but issues. Vacuums aren't working 50% of the time and never marked as out of service, so good luck with the wheel of fortune. Half the time car wash doesn't take coins, cards only. I've never seen an attendant on duty to help sort any of this out. The last drop for me was blocking off the garbage cans. Like, I get there were issues by people misusing them but closing them off at a place where you literally come to clean your car is hardly solution! Having an attendant would have probably been a much better option. I now go out of my way to go to Wiscasset.
I hope one day this will change
